Calm in the dog world doesn’t mean sedentary. At Country Canine Care, we believe happy dogs are confident dogs, and that confidence comes from calm, carefully managed experiences. Our daycare is designed to support and encourage dogs into a calm, confident state through safe, positive and self-regulated play. Dogs in our care still run, play and explore, while also having the choice to rest and relax throughout the day. With ample physical stimulation and a thoughtfully structured environment, we support both physical fulfillment and emotional wellbeing, creating dogs that feel confident, settled and at ease. Our philosophy focuses on emotional wellbeing, predictable routines and positive social interactions. This helps dogs feel safe, secure and relaxed. For dogs who enjoy additional activity, we provide enrichment add-ons such as fetch time, mini training sessions, and access to our Sensory Space that is *coming soon* for mental and physical stimulation. These options can be part of your dog’s daily routine or added as needed, allowing our clients to choose a dog care experience that truly fits their dog.

Intentional Group Doggy Daycare in Comox Valley:

We specialize in intentional group dog daycare with intentionally matched playgroups based on energy level, temperament, and personality. By keeping group sizes small, we reduce stress and overstimulation while allowing dogs to build healthy social skills at their own pace. This thoughtful approach ensures every dog receives individualized attention in a structured, supportive environment. Our dogs get to enjoy large outdoor areas for play and when the weather turns we have indoor space attached to fields allowing for indoor play as well.

Calm Play vs. Chaotic Interactions:

We know dogs need to release energy, but it’s important they do so in calm, respectful and safe ways. Our daycare supports active, happy dogs without letting play become chaotic or overwhelming. We allow dogs to lead their own day, choosing how and when to engage. We create a balanced space where every dog can move, explore and play at their own pace. From bursts of fun, walking around and engaging in movement with us to roaming around and sniffing and quiet moments to relax. This approach helps dogs build confidence and emotional balance while enjoying the freedom to be themselves in a peaceful environment.

Fully Fenced Outdoor Fields & Enrichment Activities:

Our fully fenced outdoor fields provide a secure space for off-leash play and exploration. Shaded areas, natural landscapes and weather protection allow dogs to roam comfortably while sniffing, running and discovering new sights and smells. To support mental stimulation, we offer enrichment activities such as snuffle mats, lick mats and curated activity sessions giving dogs an outlet beyond play while maintaining a calm, balanced daycare day.

Dog Grooming Spa Services:

In addition to daycare, we offer professional dog grooming and Dog Spa services. Not only do dogs leave happy and fulfilled, but also clean, comfortable and relaxed. Our Dog Spa is intentionally designed to promote calm and reduce stress, encouraging relaxation that supports overall health and wellbeing.
