Country Canine Care is a family owned and operated outdoor dog daycare located in Union Bay BC, a short drive from the centre of the Comox Valley.
With the goal of creating a meaningful bond with all our dogs, we pride ourselves on a positive, force free environment for them to explore. Our daycare offers a safe, controlled and supervised space for off leash play in our fully fenced fields equipped with shade/weather coverage, play structures and natural landscape elements. With ample space to roam, sniff, run and play, your dog will have their mental and physical needs met at his or her own pace. We encourage play, problem solving and engagement as well as use basic manner training to ensure your dog is always set up for success.
While dogs are separated into play crews with similar energies they are monitored all day to ensure proper placement and stimulation without being it being overwhelming. We always aim to have fun, but keeping the groups happy and safe is our top priority. We believe doing so allows them to decompress all while giving them the opportunity to express new curiousity in a different field with different dogs. We set up our program this way to ensure our dogs are mentally and phyically content and believe it sets them up to have the best day they can have.
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
We limit our daily enrollment, providing great dog:handler ratios. We pride ourselves on smaller play crews and believe in well-rounded outdoor stimulation. Sometimes the dogs are all together and we love watching them interact in a bigger group. Most of the time it involves napping at our feet or a large sniffari.
COMMUNICATION
We strongly believe in open communication between staff and clients. This will foster a healthy and positive working relationship that always has your dogs best interest at heart.
We encourage and welcome input, comments, suggestions and updates on your dogs health.
In return, we will provide you with the same information on a regular basis.
